Zee World is an Indian /African television channel which launched on 3 February 2015.
The channel was the first to dub Indian shows to English for the viewers of Africa. It is currently available only on DStv and GoTv , which are used by the majority of Africans, and for the Minority of Indians who moved to South Africa(Who are the most amount of Indians outside of India).
The channel is owned by Zee Entertainment Enterprises , based in Mumbai , and at 135 Beach Rd, Gordons Bay Central, Gordon’s Bay, 7140, South Africa. The channel is yet to launch in HD.
Zee world has attracted a lot of Nigeria and making them addicted to the channel.
This has generated a lot of  complains and reactions online some include;
1 Abuja – A Pediatrician based in Abuja, Mr Chibuzor Eze has threatened to divorce his wife of so many years for her addiction to popular foreign soap operas, Telemundo and Zeeworld.
“I will divorce my wife if she doesn’t stop with this Zeeworld and Telemundo obsession,” Eze said on Thursday in Abuja.
2 Nollywood ‘bad boy’, Jim Iyke, took to Instagram to disclose how angry he was getting home to find the women in his house watching Zeeworld instead of cooking. He went further to disclose that even his Driver and P.A who had complained about hunger, joined the ladies in watching the program. Jim Iyke who said he had to write the post on Instagram since his sisters are not on the social media platform, he has resorted to sabotaging his home cable. He also disclosed that he is looking for the right man for the Job.
3 Nollywood filmmaker, Uduak Isong, once described Telemundo as a challenge in Nollywood. » ” We have major challenges, there’s piracy, there’s poor distribution, and there’s Telemundo,” she said. I would replace Telemundo with Zee World, or probably just add Zee World to the list of challenges in Nollywood as it effortlessly affects consumption of local content in Nigeria.

Prior to creation of Zee World in 2015,
Other reactions include
The men use too much Amla oil on their hair. Too much.
B
They wear ridiculous jewellery and act like they might not be too well.
I see now how indian men can rape a woman inside a moving molue just by watching their queer behaviour on Zee World.
There a woman gets slapped in every episode of every single show, and the slap echoes for at least 100 seconds with ominous background supporting music.
“TAWAI!!!”
It just goes on….tawaiii!!!!!!….tawaiiiii!!!!!!
And she’d somersault at least twice a full 30 seconds after the slap has gone into echo, her 3,000 something pieces of blingy trinkets and bulbous chiffon robes flying all over.
Chairs would fall backwards. A table would fall sideways.
Then someone would rush in:
“How can you betray a daughter-in-law of this house of this house like this? I shall pray to the goddess Ganga at once!”
Then a gardener would walk in to say:
“I was cleaning your room last night when I saw your company papers.
I have now signed the documents and taken over your company, because your son disgraced my daughter by saying “good morning” to her, so that she fell in love with him, and he went on to marry someone else.
Now leave this house and go beg on the streets, or become my servants at once.”
That channel will destroy Nigeria. Nollywood was bad enough.
Zee World is a plague.
Nollywood is set to release a movie titled “Zee World Madness”, which depicts most Nigerians passionate interest in Zee World, a popular Indian movie channel.
The fact is that many Nigerians are addicted to zee World  especially women and this is affecting Nollywood negatively.
